St. Vincent, Walkmen, Beirut, Atlas Sound, Sharon Van Etten to Play the National’s Brooklyn Festival
Crossing Brooklyn Ferry will take place at the Brooklyn Academy of Music May 3-5. The event will feature performances from St. Vincent, the Walkmen, Beirut, Sharon Van Etten, Atlas Sound, the Antlers, Twin Shadow, Oneohtrix Point Never, Pat Mahoney and Nancy Whang of LCD Soundsystem, My Brightest Diamond, Tyondai Braxton, and more. It will also feature films by the likes of TV on the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe, Wilco’s Glenn Kotche, William Basinski, and more.
In other news from the National’s camp, Scott and Bryan Devendorf will team up with ex-Grateful Dead member Bob Weir to perform during an installment of the HeadCount-produced free-concert show “The Bridge Session”. That’ll be broadcast online March 24 fromTRI Studios, and will include original Dead/National songs, along with politically-charged covers.
